AUTUMN is just around the corner, and B&M has brought a range of cleaning products that will leave your home smelling like a pumpkin spiced haven.
The retailer is selling everything from washing up liquid to floor cleaner to get your house ready for the cosy season ahead.
A shopper uploaded a video on their @elwebbb account sharing the autumnal products they spotted in their local branch.
The bargain hunter wrote: “Autumn girlies run to B&M for their new pumpkin spiced range.
“Went into B&M for washing tablets and couldn’t believe I found such a large range of autumn cleaning products!
“It feels like the UK is finally getting somewhat on the US level.”
The first item they showed was B&M’s pumpkin spiced-scented Elbow Grease washing up liquid.
They also have a limited edition Elbow Grease Scrub Mate orange sponge to match, plus some orange washing up gloves to replace your usual bright yellow ones.
The shopper also shared how they spotted Fabulosa’s new pumpkin-inspired creations.
The range, which is available to shop in Heron and B&M stores from just £1, consists of 750ml Multi-Purpose Cleaners, 1L Floor Cleaner, and 500ml Concentrated Multi-Purpose Cleaner.
Shoppers can pick from three different pumpkin scents for the collection.
The trio of indulgent new aromas have each been specially developed by the brand’s team of expert scentmakers to invigorate the senses and encourage homeowners to adore their chores.
Spiced Pumpkin is a rich, spicy accord combining top notes of pumpkin, nutmeg, citrus notes and orange.
Perfect Pumpkin is a pumpkin-spiced latte fragrance, which opens with citrus orange and spicy nutmeg notes, leading onto a heart of spiced clove and cinnamon, before finishing on a dreamy base of creamy coconut, tonka bean and vanilla.
Meanwhile, Honey Pumpkin is a fresh pumpkin squash fragrance that begins with crisp green top notes, unfolds into a pumpkin heart, and settles on a warm base of creamy vanilla and woods.
The video has racked up over 28,000 likes, and people seemed desperate to snap up the items.
One person shared: “So ready for autumn scents!! I neeed Mrs Hinch’s cosy season one to come back this year.”
Another added: “You inspired me to go right to B&M.”
And a third commented: “I love autumn for the cinnamon.”
Why is everyone obsessed with Pumpkin Spice?
Pumpkin spice has become a cultural phenomenon, a staple flavour and scent as autumn begins.
No surprise, it originated from America, referencing the pumpkin spice mix used to flavour Thanksgiving’s pumpkin pie.
Matt Johnson, PhD explained the psychology behind our obsession with pumpkin spice. He said: “With each passing fall season, pumpkin spice becomes more and more iconic.
“The flavour and scent [have] become inextricably tied to memories of autumn, Christmas holidays and traditions, creating an emotional connection that brands capitalise on.”
The professor explained how the general flavour or pumpkin spice is “rooted in the seasonal foods we typically enjoy during autumn”, and has become so iconic, it returns bigger and better every year.
Not only does it impact food and drinks, but autumnal interior design has exploded over the past few years, and households actively decorate their houses with seasonal displays.
