CONOR MCGREGOR has seemingly dropped a huge hint that he may never return to the UFC.
The Irishman was set to make his grand return to the octagon last summer against Michael Chandler but withdrew from their June joust with a broken left pinky toe.
The UFC brass forecast an autumn return for their poster boy late last year but have since cast doubt over the Irishman‘s future.
McGregor, 36, has been in full promotion mode for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships over the last six months and has dropped his strongest hint yet that he could fight in the organisation.
The Notorious posted a video of himself doing some bare-knuckle work with one of his pad men to his Instagram story last Friday.
He followed that up with a video of himself hitting an aqua bag with bare fists, as well as a series of snaps.
The footage and snaps quickly became the talk of MMA fans, one of whom wrote: “Is he changing???”
Another said: “He’s changing production companies.”
And another said: “Wow.”
One remarked: “Can’t wait to see him fight again.”
Inside McGregor’s Notorious lifestyle

With more sides to his personality than an Octagon, Conor McGregor’s rise has been an enthralling watch.
Another chimed in: “I wonder if he can buy himself out of his remaining UFC contract?”
McGregor’s tease of a switch to BKFC, which he has shares in, comes just weeks after he admitted he’s more interested in competing in the influencer boxing scene than fighting inside the cage.
He told The Schmo: “I am more inclined now for this influencer [boxing].
“Or whatever you call it, because it’s astronomical money.
“Astronomical, the figures. So who was there? There’s Jake [Paul], Logan, and f*****g KSI.
“I like the three of these guys, and then all of the other ones that are tussling around.
“It’s an interesting little side pocket branch, we call it.”
McGregor hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
UFC CEO and President Dana White claimed late last year that he’d return this “fall”.
But he recently admitted he’s in the dark about the return of the Mac.
When asked about McGregor during the UFC Fight Night 250 post-fight press conference last month, he replied: “Conor?
“Um… Not sure when Conor will be back.”
If McGregor does ever fight again, his next outing will be his first since being found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin Hotel in December 2018.
The Dubliner officially appealed the verdict last month.
