The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Gombe State Command on Thursday deployed 900 personnel to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration in the state.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Saad, on Thursday, quoting Commandant Gyama Gyawiya, State Commandant of the NSCDC.
“We are committed to ensuring a peaceful and secure environment for all Muslim faithful and residents of Gombe during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration,” the statement said.

The statement added, “We will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to ensure a peaceful and secure celebration. We urge all residents to cooperate with our personnel and report any suspicious activities to the nearest security agency.”
The statement disclosed that the deployment is part of the NSCDC’s commitment to public safety and security, particularly during festive periods.
